Alabama Law Enforcment Gays and Lesbians is a social organization for GLBT professionals in law enforcement, fire, EMS, and military. We were not established to act in a political capacity, but rather to function in a support capacity and serve as a means to network with other fellow GLBT professionals in public safety. We respect our members privacy. Employers are not contacted.
History... Alabama LEGAL was formed in January of 2006 by a small group of gay law enforcement officers. These officers envisioned a way for GLBT law enforcement across the state to meet others in the field for support, networking and fellowship among fellow law enforcement professionals. Today, the group has members from all areas of the state and is a supporter of the national organization of Protect and Defend.
